Summary
Bundle, the fastest way to organize your photo mess into a beautifully shared photo gallery, today announced the public launch of its native apps for iOS and Android. Bundle helps users take control of their photos by using technology to organize, group and share photos together as bundles at the touch of a button. Users can create private bundles, or they can be privately shared with friends and family to create a shared photo gallery. Bundle keeps photos secure by backing them up in the cloud or users can store them on Dropbox or Google Drive by connecting their account.

“We take thousands of photos with our smartphones and cameras to capture life’s great moments - from birthdays and weddings to family vacations and more. Yet, more often than not these photos don’t make it out of our phones and into the hands of the people with whom we shared those experiences,” said Bundle CEO and co-founder, Michel op ‘t Landt. “Bundle is here to help people declutter their photo mess and turn it into a beautifully organized and shared photo gallery that continuously improves as more photos are added. We believe Bundle solves a huge pain in the digital photo world, and we can’t wait to see how our platform and its technology help reintroduce the joy of capturing, sharing and revisiting life’s most memorable moments together.”

Bundle’s proprietary AutoAlbum technology sets the platform apart from other apps on the market. Quite simply, AutoAlbum helps users seamlessly organize and share only their best photos with friends and family. AutoAlbum uses machine learning to determine which photos belong in the same Bundle and simultaneously suggests which photos from friends belong to that bundle. Once images from the same events are bundled, AutoAlbum uses computer vision technology to suggest the best photos of the bunch by focusing on duplicate images, face and smile detection. As users continue to use Bundle, AutoAlbum’s algorithm learns more about the user's preferences and enables them to select the best photos even faster. Bundle helps users say goodbye to poor quality and duplicate photos and say hello to cohesive, good-looking albums.

Bundle also announced today it has secured an additional $300K in seed funding from angel investor, Hans Veldhuizen, founder of Albumprinter/Albelli, which was acquired in 2011 by Vistaprint for $83.3M. The new funding brings Bundle’s total funding to date to $600K. “Bundle is beautifully designed and super intuitive to use. It also addresses and solves a major pain point that most consumers have, providing an easy way to organize and share massive amounts of photos on their camera roll that tell the story of their lives,” said Hans Veldhuizen.
